Keeping Kids Safe and Families Together

Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF) is a bilingual family support program designed to assist families in finding the resources for self-sufficiency. The PSSF approach is to ensure safety for all children in the community through a family friendly, strengths based, collaborative approach. The project works directly with families through the use of Family Advocates who help families in identifying strengths, accessing services and navigating systems. A number of other support services are also available. PSSF also works within community systems to promote systemic change and collaboration that supports healthy family functioning.

Families that are eligible for services include:

  • Families with involvement with the Morgan County Department of Human Services
  • Adoptive, kinship and foster care families
  • The families of children with special needs of disabilities
  • Any family in need of stability (i.e., teen parents, domestic violence, substance abuse, mental health issues, homeless families, etc.)
